UV Vis Spectrophotometer Calibration

With regular UV Vis performance verification, you can always be sure that your instrument is working properly and that your results are accurate and reliable. The performance verification tests are US and European Pharmacopeia compliant and include, among other tests, photometric accuracy, photometric linearity, wavelength accuracy, resolution and stray light.

The complete workflow is automated and does not require any manual data transfer. When used in conjunction with LabX™ laboratory software, the FDA guidelines concerning electronic records are fulfilled, supporting compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. All data are stored according to the ALCOA+ principles to ensure data integrity.

The automated CertiRef™ and LinSet™ modules provide full traceability of test results. Both modules include NIST-traceable certified reference materials with calibration certificates, in the LinSet module from Hellma Analytics. The CRMs comply with the latest USP and Ph. Eur. guidelines. All certification data is securely stored in both modules. Test results are automatically evaluated, and documented in a comprehensive report.

Ph. Eur. Ed. 10 and USP 42 have added mandatory photometric linearity and new reference materials in their respective chapter dedicated to UV Vis spectroscopy. The LinSet automated performance module covers the introduced changes and ensures that your testing routine is up-to-date.

The LinSet module is also available in two configurations: LinSet PDC and LinSet Niacin. They differ in the CRMs used to test the photometric linearity in the UV range (potassium dichromate and nicotinic acid, respectively).

The LinSet modules are compatible with the UV7 Excellence Spectrophotometers.

All nominal data required for evaluation are electronically stored on the CertiRef™ and LinSet modules and are automatically compared to the test results. The risk of error from user  calculations and manual data entry from certificates is completely eliminated.

Test results can be documented in comprehensive, customizable reports, which can be exported, printed or stored electronically. For comparison with previous test results, the test history includes all relevant data and allows a trend analysis.

The plug and play automated performance modules are easily installed within seconds. The instrument automatically recognizes the module, retrieves all certification data and is immediately ready to start the performance verification method. The modules can remain mounted on the instrument during routine measurements, or can be easily removed for use on other instruments.
